Hello, and welcome to the official website of Robert Dunford.

I have been a professional freelance sports journalist since 2004, working out of the London area.

A sports fanatic, I have supported my local football team (AFC Wimbledon, nee Wimbledon FC) for over 20 years. It was after many years of writing articles for fanzines and websites that I finally decided to work in the industry on a permanent basis.

So far my work has appeared in diverse publications such as FourFourTwo, the Non League Paper (formerly The Football Paper/The League Paper), London Metro and the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle. I have also represented the Press Association on many occasions via the Sportsbeat agency

Although I mainly cover football, I have also written about rugby league (Harlequins RL) and the Henley Royal Regatta in 2006. To a lesser extent, I have covered local cricket in Middlesex and athletics in West London.

I am professionally qualified in teeline shorthand, at 80 words per minute, as certified by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).

All submissions I make will be in Microsoft Word format, although I am more than happy to make alternative arrangements over formats. I also have my own transport.
